Join Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation for a FREE public lecture with Michael Mesure of Birdsafe and Toronto’s Fatal Light Attraction Program (FLAP) at Frances Morrison Library. We invite anyone who cares about our wild neighbours, especially our feathered friends, and wants to learn about how to protect birds from colliding with our buildings.

Birds have been hitting glass on buildings since glass was invented. For the past 27 years, Michael Mesure has been trying to reduce avian mortality. Michael is the force behind Toronto’s Fatal Light Attraction Program (FLAP) and BirdSafe. He will be in Saskatoon to offer his perspective and expertise on our buildings; where we are on the right track, and where we can do a better job of keeping our birds safe from windows.

Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation receives dozens of birds injured by window strikes each year. We’d like to increase awareness in the public and to inspire people to take a bigger role in reducing the number of birds hitting windows and buildings in Saskatoon.

Funding for this public talk has been made available by Saskatoon Nature Society and EcoFriendly Sask. Please join us for this important, education and WILD event!
