Basia Irland is an author, artist, activist, Fulbright scholar
and professor emerita (University of New Mexico) who
creates international water projects and works with
communities and researchers in diverse disciplines.

Basia is visiting Saskatoon to participate in the spring art-science course, Becoming Water, with field trips on the Saskatchewan River. Her talk will be an Illustrated presentation of her art-science water projects.

Also – come to the Broadway Theatre between 6 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, to have your portrait taken with the river! Images will appear on the digital billboard on 25th St. in Saskatoon during July and August. This event is prior to the free public talk, Reading the River, with Basia Irland at 7 p.m.
